Have a lol at my expense
Well, i had an unded kuuna i was working on trying to trade for a VS. So im in spamadan wtt, some guy says ill trade you 73 black dyes for it; well of course thats a nice deal (really wanted the VS, but hey couldnt pass that up) so he throws 73 in there - i told him i rlly wanted a VS but i'd take the trade anyways, he said he'd sweeten the deal and make it 74 so ofc i didnt disagree - and let me tell you something: that little gray haze over the trade menu when something has been changed really makes a gray dye look black.
I hit accept.
Have a nice day, and remember to always look first

i did lol
That's pretty tricky and just traded with my little brother to check how the dye looks. The thing is with trades and gw community you know some people arn't genuinly being kind. I question why he has that much black dyes lol - i know they can be legit but still.
Also when someone changes something in the trade i would mouse over each individual item to be sure.
My main problem would have been screw the black dye that isn't wat you wanted originally.

It is not surprising to me that scams will be on the rise again from now until early January since all these 10-16 year old kids are off of school for Christmas holidays. When they invade the servers 12 hours a day for Christmas breaks, summer vacation, and spring break, the scam rate goes way up.
Just take screens and send it into support showing what they offered and what traded. The guys at support will ban these kids. Whenever I get scammers trying to do some of these things I always play along til the end then hit cancel taking screens. Then a few minutes later send them a pm that says something like: "Hey, I have a lucky number for you, '12547-85422'. Do you know what it is?" They always say, "no, what?" Then I say, "It is your support ticket number. I sent in screens of the scam. You will be hearing from them soon. Good luck!"
Then they will do one of three things: 1) yell profanity at you (in which case you take more screens and send in another ticket number for harassment ~ tell them thank you for the opportunity to send in another ticket for even more enjoyment!), 2) Log off quickly, 3) Beg you not to do it (tell them it is too late and to start thinking of an excuse to tell your mommy when she finds out you cant use the game she wasted $50 buying you. Perhaps just tell her the truth that you are a scamming little prepubescent teenager.) <--- Usually after typing this you will need to refer back to 1) because the profanity willl start and you can send in that second ticket for harassment.

Good to have someone with a good spirit.
Always check the trade before accepting.
In trades that involve a lot of money, always check 2-3 times.

I usually have a few random items in storage to counter scams myself.
Ecto scammers get Mursaat Tokens (as long as Nick doesn't need them), I always have a random gold item for the Drop it so I can see what it looks like scam or one of those pre-Crystaline swords for players trying to pay gold instead of platinum for something. Apart from that, Tramp has the right idea.

no, it was black at 73, i def. saw that, but then he "added another one" and it looked the same... but u know the rest - more stupidity than anything... i sent a support ticket though, at least they can nail him. took a SS
